To expand the activities on the Croatian market the following position is offered to dedicated and dynamic candidates:
Business Development Manager – Zagreb (m/f)
Your responsibilities:
• Building, maintaining and developing relationships with sellers of debt,
• looking for debt portfolio investment offers,
• presenting the company as a potential buyer of debt to potential debt portfolio sellers,
• preparation and submission of debt portfolio purchase offers on behalf of the company,
• participation in negotiations with the sellers of debt portfolios,
• regular monitoring of debt collection market and reporting to the Management Board of significant occurrences in the debt collection market which may affect the debt portfolio investment strategies,
• cooperation with the head office in developing the strategy for investing in debt portfolios available in the local market and/or cooperation in developing new products and services for the local debt collection market,
• participation in risk analyses and valuation of portfolios in order to obtain
an adequate purchase price for a given debt portfolio,
• responsibility for contacts and implementation of recommendations from
the local regulators which supervise debt collection companies,
• working in cooperation with external consultants and relevant internal units
to ensure compliance of the company activities with the local legislation,
• proposing new methods of liquidation of debt portfolios in the event of legislative changes which may affect the business changes,
• implementation of the company financial objectives and performance indicators set by the superiors,
• recruitment, training and facilitation of skills of the subordinate team,
• establishing proper communication between the subordinate team and the other functional units within the Company,
• regular reporting on current execution of targets and processes.
O zaposleniku
• university diploma in Economics or Finance or Law,
• minimum 3 years of experience in managerial or expert positions covering receivables management in the financial sector (banks, consumer finance, collection, insurance),
• experience in international companies is an additional advantage,
• knowledge of risk management,
• effective operational proficiency in English (written and spoken) and capability to communicate in the international environment,
• working knowledge of the Croatian legislation related to collection and labour laws,
• good knowledge of the local business environment and the ability to establish
and maintain good relationships with customers,
• proficiency with Microsoft Office,
• readiness to work in the international environment,
• readiness to take part in training sessions outside Croatia (e.g. in Poland).
