E-commerce Application Specialist (m/f)

Our client is a private company owned by the leading Swiss department store chain. With 20+ years of experience in supporting digital and IT operations, they are currently expanding their team, and seeking a proactive and flexible individual who would join them on a position of E-commerce Application Specialist (m/f).

handle and resolve application issues related to e-commerce platforms, reported through the ticketing system by 1st level support
respond to requests, analyze issues, and provide timely, practical solutions
maintain applications, including data updates and cleanup tasks
collaborate with internal teams (1st level support, developers) and external partners on software-related matters
train and support internal teams on application updates and troubleshooting
keep documentation up to date, including application usage and new procedures.

proficiency in English (at least B2 – fluent), knowledge of German or French can be a plus
degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the IT sector, demonstrating solid technical skills and basic knowledge of software development principles
familiarity with ticketing tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps, as well as technologies like Java, JavaScript, SAP Commerce, or React JS can be a plus
several years of experience in application management (experience with e-commerce sector is a plus); knowledge of system technology, software troubleshooting and application maintenance
proactive mindset, adaptability, and a strong sense of accountability with a focus on delivering high-quality results
excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
high level of flexibility regarding working hours, including weekend work and on-call duties.
