E-commerce Application Specialist (m/f)

Our client is a private company owned by the leading Swiss department store chain. With 20+ years of experience in supporting digital and IT operations, they are currently expanding their team, and seeking a proactive and flexible individual who would join them on a position of E-commerce Application Specialist (m/f).


  • handle and resolve application issues related to e-commerce platforms, reported through the ticketing system by 1st level support
  • respond to requests, analyze issues, and provide timely, practical solutions
  • maintain applications, including data updates and cleanup tasks
  • collaborate with internal teams (1st level support, developers) and external partners on software-related matters
  • train and support internal teams on application updates and troubleshooting
  • keep documentation up to date, including application usage and new procedures.
  • proficiency in English (at least B2 – fluent), knowledge of German or French can be a plus
  • degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the IT sector, demonstrating solid technical skills and basic knowledge of software development principles
  • familiarity with ticketing tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps, as well as technologies like Java, JavaScript, SAP Commerce, or React JS can be a plus
  • several years of experience in application management (experience with e-commerce sector is a plus); knowledge of system technology, software troubleshooting and application maintenance
  • proactive mindset, adaptability, and a strong sense of accountability with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
  • high level of flexibility regarding working hours, including weekend work and on-call duties.
