Head of Sales SEE/CEE/CIS/UK (m/f)

YOUR TASKS:


  • Leading a team of 5 sales managers for segments FIT, Travel Agency Sales, Leisure Groups, Sports Groups, MICE (mainly incentives and sports), Direct Sales/ Affiliate Sales
  • Development, implementation and optimization of general sales strategy and action plan for Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences across SEE, CEE, CIS and the UK and all channels to increase market share from these source markets
  • Identification and development of new sales channels and opportunities in the relevant markets
  • Development and follow-through of a detailed sales strategy for all hotels in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro (hotels of responsibility)
  • Regular alignment with the General Managers of the hotels of responsibility and pro-active proposal of packages and promotions according to the hotels’ positioning and needs
  • Pro-active Key Account Management (total account management) and strategic client management in order to achieve sales targets and generate new business, including the negotiation and closing of contracts with main TOs, MICE agencies and Networks
  • Management, coordination and monitoring of the performance delivery of GSAs in Russia and UK
  • Planning of and representation at trade fairs, workshops and client events
  • Organization of sales trips, sales calls and Fam trips
  • Planning and briefing of B2B trade marketing actions in cooperation with Marketing department
  • Ensuring S&M activities (sales calls, fairs, workshops) are stored correctly in systems (i.e. Protel)
  • Implementation and ensuring of sales data quality to drive meaningful and smart campaigns to increase overall revenue
  • Recruiting, training, mentoring and developing of the Sales Managers
  • Close observation of the markets, trends and competitors
  • Development and management of local, regional & corporate partnerships

YOUR PROFILE:


  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the sale of upscale hotels (4 star, 5 star) in a comparable leadership position
  • Proven track record and strong international network
  • Deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of the markets in SEE, CEE, CIS and UK and its players
  • Deep understanding of customer needs
  • Negotiating skills and flexibility
  • High customer and service orientation
  • A high degree of initiative and a purposeful way of working
  • Clearly structured and with good organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and good leadership capabilities
  • Able to set priorities
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Very good knowledge of a German & English language, additional languages of advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint), knowledge of Protel or other PMS systems of advantage
  • Good presentation skills
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel
