Diplomatic Residence associated with the U.S. Embassy Zagreb is seeking the following:
JUNIOR HOUSEKEEPER / PART TIME
POSITION OVERVIEW
Main responsibilities include:
• Housekeeping – following the guidelines provided by House Manager/Head Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and day-to-day maintenance of the residence
Responsible for, but not limited to:
• Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the residence and corresponding indoor and outdoor areas, including but not limited to the basement, terraces, and windows;
• Dust and clean hard surfaces and upholstered furniture, drapes, and polish woodwork;
• Careful cleaning of antique or other fine craft work;
• Vacuum, mop and wax floors and care for rugs and carpeting;
• Make beds, clean and straighten all bedrooms and bathrooms, hallways;
• Schedule linen changes for bedrooms and bathrooms;
• Launder and irons clothes and linens;
• Care for kitchenware, glassware, silver, and other tableware;
• Water indoor plants as appropriate;
• Assist with preparation and clean-up after social functions and events;
• Serve meals, drinks, and perform waitstaff services;
• Maintains a varied schedule to adapt to event schedules;
• Performs any other duties, as and when required.
WORK HOURS
Part-Time - Approximately 30 hours/week.

Completion of secondary school is required.
Must have at least six months experience as a professional housekeeper.
LANGUAGE
Basic knowledge of English as well as Croatian language.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have good understanding how to use home cleaning products and appropriate house appliances.
A background check will be required to be hired and to maintain continued employment.
