Summary: The work schedule for this position is:

Duties
The incumbent serves as the U.S. Department of Justice International Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property (ICHIP) program's Cybercrime Regional Program Coordinator (CRPC). The CRPC's main responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the ICHIP increase cybercrime prosecutions and build capacity for cybercrime investigations and digital evidence among law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in the ICHIP program's 32-country coverage area that spans Eastern, Central and Southeastern Europe, and Central Asia.

Under the supervision of the ICHIP Attorney, the job holder is a key point of contact on law, programming, and legislative efforts with the judicial officials, legislators, prosecutors, investigators, and other criminal justice officials in the aforementioned ICHIP coverage area. The job holder develops, revises, and maintains legal assistance programs, including capacity-building and legislative/regulatory drafting initiatives. The job holder tracks relevant developments in criminal law and procedure.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements: EXPERIENCE: At least three years working in a legal or high-level government position.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Excellent knowledge of Croatian and Western Balkan criminal justice systems and working knowledge of European criminal justice systems generally. Substantive knowledge of penal and criminal codes of Croatia and the Western Balkans. Incumbent must have detailed and broad knowledge of Croatian political leaders and key political, governmental, and law enforcement institutions and hierarchies.

Education Requirements: • Master's degree in law is required. LICENSE: License to practice law in Croatia.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: English - Fluent Knowledge (will be tested). Croatian - Fluent Knowledge.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to draft correspondence and written reports in both English and the host nation language. Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with host country agencies. Ability to conduct complex legal research.

Must have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Excel.
