Summary: The U.S. Mission in Zagreb, Croatia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Procurement Supervisor.
The work schedule for this position is:
• full time – 40 hours per week.
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time after the receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: Yes
Duties: The incumbent Embassy’s lead on contract administration in the procurement section and is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to two Procurement Agents. Provides backup support to procurement agents as required. Prepares annual evaluations, recommends training, administers on-the-job training, and notifies the General Services Officer of any deficiencies in their performance.

EDUCATION: College studies in business/public administration, business management, economics, trade, or accounting required.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contracting, administration of business is required.
KNOWLEDGE: Must have a good knowledge of local market practices and of the capability of local suppliers. Must know local pricing customs and practices.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level IV (fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required. (This may be tested). Level 4 (fluent) speaking/Reading/Writing of Croatian language is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have driving license cat. B. Must have excellent analytical and drafting skills.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass security certifications.
