What you will be doing...
Reporting to the General Manager - Jet2holidays Risk & Safety the Regional Risk & Safety Managers (RRSM) is responsible for leading a sub-team within the Risk & Safety Team covering a number of destinations / resorts. You will have full responsibility for the day to day management and tasking of your Overseas Risk & Safety Managers (ORSMs) and Risk & Safety Executives to ensure that the holiday services provided to customers are inherently safe through the undertaking of on-site audits, following up of non-compliances, conducting incident investigations and providing training / seminars to internal & external stakeholders.
In this exciting high profile position you will work closely with our Contracting and Overseas Operations colleagues, and be responsible for the effective implementation of the Jet2holidays Safety Management System (SMS), forging strong partnerships with the Regional Contracting Managers, Overseas Operations Managers and suppliers to seek their cooperation and engagement in delivering industry leading customer safety standards. In addition, to proven managerial experience, the role requires a competent technical knowledge and understanding of risk & safety factors associated primarily with hotels and tourist accommodation and other services such as coach transportation and excursions.
The successful candidate must be a highly competent Risk (Health) & Safety Manager with experience in the Tour Operating and / or hotel / leisure industry. You must have a proven track record in managing a team of direct reports, translating ‘vision’ into key deliverables and devising and implementing processes and work flows for the team. You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment. You will need to be IT competent, particularly with Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint and hold an international driving license and have the confidence to drive in different countries.
