Prepare and/or review over statutory and tax reports (monthly VAT, Statistical filings, Annual financial statements, CIT). Make sure that all filings are submitted and settled on time having the right quality
Prepare CIT: Monthly CIT accrual, monthly CIT instalments, annual CIT calculation
Rigor for preparation of GAAP to STAT to TAX reconciliations
Full tax compliance and optimization of accounting activities. Make sure that supporting documentation complies with the Fiscal legislation and work with biz / other stakeholders on implementation of corrective actions
Anticipate, assess and manage the impact of regulatory, taxation or accounting changes affecting the site
Manage compliance and risks effectively. Escalate with business, GOF and Tax team of significant issues. Propose and implement mitigation actions
Proper archiving of the documents to ensure full safeguards around company records
Contact with Tax authorities and resolving tax issues. Support for fiscal controls (VAT, CIT, TP)
Support month-end reporting process working closely with business finance team. Follow business team instructions closely and deliver the expected results
Prepare and/or review of booked transactions in the GL (accuracy and completeness)
Preparer and / or reviewer role for GE accounts reconciliation process. Working closely with business finance team. Reconciliation of reported results with GL
Profile
Degree in Accounting or Economics from an accredited university or college
Strong experience in Croatian accounting, statutory and tax laws experience
Fluent in Croatian and English language
Good command of MS Office
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing, presentation
Proactive approach
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
Analytical thinking
Able to meet tight deadlines
Experienced to work with complex ERPs
Nice to have, but not obligatory:
knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS/USGAAP reporting
